Hi Kathleen-
You raise a good point. My hesitancy in doing so is that it can let us voters off the hook i.e. by saying BOTH, we don't really have to plumb the depth of the question. I think it's too easy to identify it as another way of doing position C.
However, the word both, as you might suggest, could be indicative of something else and upon reflection, I think there is a body of theological work out there that could be in agreement, SO.....I think I will add it...and we will see the reaction, on the blog and in the sermon series.
